These terms govern your use of Literah, at literah.com and literah.world. Literah is operated by Apis-IA Tecnologia Ltda, a company registered in Brazil under CNPJ 18.579.767/0001-82, with its registered office at Av. Des. Hugo Simas 1181, Loja 03, Vista Alegre, Curitiba - PR, CEP 80820-102 (“we”, “us”). By buying or using Literah you agree to them.
Literah is a reading companion for works of classic literature. Each world maps a book into its characters, places, objects, themes and the passages that carry it, alongside our own commentary and generated illustrations.
The books themselves are in the public domain. Our mapping, commentary, selection, ordering and images are our own work and are not public domain. Literah accompanies the books; it does not replace reading them.
Literah is sold as a single payment for lifetime access to the library, including worlds added later. It is not a subscription. There is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
Purchases are handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, our authorized reseller and the merchant of record. Your contract of sale for the payment is with Paddle, and their buyer terms apply alongside these. Paddle handles payment, tax and invoicing; we provide the library itself.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy: 14 days, no reason needed.
An account is created for you when you buy, using the email address you paid with. You sign in with a code sent to that address, so keep access to it. Your access is for you personally. Do not share your sign-in codes or account.
You may read the library on as many of your own devices as you like.
If you do these things we may suspend or end your access. Where the breach was not deliberate we will normally contact you first.
We aim to keep Literah available and to keep improving it, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Worlds may be revised, added or occasionally withdrawn. If we ever discontinued the library altogether, we would tell buyers by email first.
Our commentary is interpretive and our illustrations are generated. Both are offered as a companion to reading, not as scholarship or fact. We do not warrant that everything is free of error, and Literah should not be relied on for academic citation.
Literah is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects buyers we will email those with accounts. Continuing to use Literah after a change means accepting it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of Brazil have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in. Brazilian consumers keep every right given by the Código de Defesa do Consumidor, including the seven-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases, which sits alongside (and never below) the 14 days we offer.
